About the project:

ASSOCIATION PRO REFUGIU implements alongside its Norwegian and Romanian partners between 1 May 2014 -31 March 2016 the project Change and Challenge Improve social services provided to victims of human trafficking, project financed through EEA Grants 2009-2014, NGO Fund in Romania.

Partners are:

Pro Sentret Norway, Foundation People to People, Association Global Help, Association Betania, East European Institute for Reproductive Health, General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection from Romanian counties such as Bacau, Dambovita, Galati, Iasi, Mures, Salaj, Satu-Mare, Sibiu and Teleorman.

Objectives

Project’s objective consists in improving the provision of social services for victims of human trafficking.

Main activities:

Mapping social needs and types of services provided to victims of human trafficking by NGOs and institutions in Romania and Norway.

Trainings in Norway and Romania for the Romanian professionals working in NGOs and institutions to improve the counselling and assistance provided to victims of human trafficking.

Develop and promote a Norwegian-Romanian referral system regarding Romanian citizens subjected to human traffikcing phenomenon in Norway.

Social and legal counselling, assistance for victims of human trafficking.
